The Thalhimer Challenge

The Thalhimer Club Challenge is Richmond’s largest and most anticipated tennis event of the year featuring 396 doubles matches between the area’s largest 12 clubs over four days.

While the tournament is a competition, it is also our largest fundraiser of the year. Your participation helps support junior tennis in Richmond, including The Rising Stars Academy. The Rising Stars Academy is a partnership between RTA and the City of Richmond offering information and instruction at no cost to kids who may not otherwise get the chance to play.

Thalhimer is the lead sponsor through its Thalhimer Gives community outreach program that supports non-profit groups that create a positive impact. Thalhimer has been an active participant in the tournament and thanked the many volunteers for making the event a success. The RTA is a volunteer-driven non-profit that operates a variety of tennis programs and events for tennis players of all ages and abilities.
