Coach/Captain/Team Manager Duties…
* Recruit team members
* Coordinate travel to matches
* Schedule practices (optional)
* Attend preseason meeting (TBD by League Coordinators)
* Coaches/captains MUST have a background check and be Safe Play certified.
** GET SAFE PLAY CERTIFIED: USTA Safe Play Certification
* Distribute league information to team members and parents
* Submit lineup to opponent’s captain before each match
* Collect, record, and report scores in TennisLink 24 hours after match
TennisLink Help…
Registering as a Coach/Manager:
1. Go to http://tennislink.usta.com/TEAMTENNIS/Main/Home.aspx
2. Click on “Become a Coach/Manager” located on the bottom right side of your computer screen under “Options”
3. Fill in the necessary information and select a password
4. Click “SUBMIT” (NOTE: Write down your number and password, you will need this every time you use TennisLink)
5. Let your League Coordinator know your number (she will need to add you to your team(s) in TennisLink)
6. Submit a background check (FREE): USTA Safe Play Background Screening
Registering a Player or Team:
1. You will need to know your Team Number and the players USTA membership numbers
2. Go to http://tennislink.usta.com/TEAMTENNIS/Main/Home.aspx
3. Click “Register to Play”
4. Enter your Team Number, click “ENTER”
5. Enter your players’ USTA membership numbers
6. If you are registering more than one player, continue with step 4 for every player
7. Click “Proceed to Checkout”
8. This will bring you to the payment page (you will have to use a credit card to pay for the registration fee(s))
9. Click “SUBMIT”, if you need a receipt, print out the next page that comes up
Entering Scores After a Match
1. Go to http://tennislink.usta.com/TEAMTENNIS/Main/Home.aspx
2. Click “Login” above the USTA Jr. Team Tennis logo
3. Enter your USTA membership number or your Captain ID
4. Enter your Password and click “Login”
5. Under “My Options” (right side, in red), click “Score Entry”
6. Enter the Match ID and click “Next”
7. Enter the date the match was played
8. Enter match results
***Choose the players for each match from the drop down boxes
***IMPORTANT: List the winning score first (i.e. 4-1, 2-4, 1-0 NOT 1-4, 4-2, 0-1)
***Choose the winner of each match from the drop down box under “Winner:”
9. Click “Next”
10. Review the information and if it is correct, click Finish”
